PAGA CONFERENCE 2006

MOTIVATED BY THE WORD
EMPOWERED BY THE SPIRIT
MOVING FORWARD...

This was the theme for the conference in 2006. Monday night was registration and youth night... Rev. Jeremy Mercer from the new PAGA church in Corona was our speaker... He did an outstanding job. The church was packed with young people and the pizza bash after was hosted by our very own Andy and Lisa... A great success! I am so proud of our cute boys all the other youth group girls had them surrounded... Tehehe...

LADIES LUNCHEON
The next afternoon was our Ladies of Grace luncheon... The men's luncheon was at Sizzler but ours was at the lovely Anchor restaurant... Debbie Pryor my dear friend and colleague in the work of the Lord was appointed as the LOG Director... She has been by my side from day one and has never missed a retreat... She has a true heart after the Ladies and has an awesome vision for what the ladies can soar in the years to come.... I love her and her heart...

TRANSWORLD MISSIONS NIGHT...

I was appointed the director this year and know beyond a shadow of a doubt God did the appointing... In myself I feel so inadequate and inexperienced... and yet God would use me and give me the vision and the words and deeds and support to see His work done... Oh, how I love being in His great hands and following His plan as He seems to toss my plan aside most of the time... WoW, what a boss! Missions night was different this year... We didn't do it like a service but rather a Christian Television Program that was dedicated to TransWorld Missions... It was so fun... and the message got through... We had a board reporting the totals of giving that was constantly changing and going higher all evening... We also had "Send the Light" partnerships joining for $100 per month for one year... It was exciting and praise God we raised over $15,000... So much more can be done through PAGA TWM this year because of the hearts that back the giving... Rev. Steve and Debbie Anderson began the evening by blessing us with the opening song and the theme of our program "This is our finest Hour"...
Our first guests were the Chapels representing Africa.... They shared a bit concerning Africa including some music and a dance....
Next we were blessed with Revs. Dan and Tom Bloomfield who pastor in Riverside and have a great work in the Philippines...
They had just returned and are so excited to have been named the second best bible school in that country... Tom brought the house down with a powerful solo...
Pastors Emil and Amy Bermoy have a Filipino church in Los Angeles as well as 20 church and a bible school in the Philippines... We became acquainted through Bro. Lee and Sheryl Coffey who are ministers in PAGA... I will be going with them to the Philippines in November, 2006... They sang a song
"God is so Wonderful" and shared about the work and the upcoming conference we are attending... It motivated the audience and some joined the team for November... Rev Mike and Shirley Flowers shared about India and the Febuary outreach that Shirley ministed... They also ministered in song and blessed our hearts as Shirley exhorted with the power of the Holy Ghost annointing every word...

And of course our Trinidadians blessed the entire congregation... With song... With word... and with their accent... They are so harmonious in just the way they express themselves... What a blessing...

Representing Mexico where we don't even have a work, yet was "Packie Lopez"... A wonderful women of God and a vocalist with a great Spanish guitar and costume... Brother Victor Gill from Trinidad tried the hat after the service... As you can see...

At the end of the service Tiffany Sutterfield had a commercial about going to the Philippines with me on a missionary journey.... The commercial viewed her going but all those who gave were going also as part of her "Network".... Helping Hands! People were so moved that they simply started walking up and giving her money... She was crying and was holding her face in her hands as people literally showered her with money... The ushers came and collected the money from off of the floor and on her body where ever it landed and the total was over $750.... She needs $1500 more.... God is sending her and He has chosen to allow us to do it.... We are all so very blessed... Don't you think?

Of course mom and dad look great in their Trinandad attire. Maybe one day her daughter might have one.
