Grandparents Day at Brenna's school...

Brenna is quite the writer... When asked to write a story about going somewhere with her grandparents she wouldn't be happy with just an ice cream story at Baskin-Robbins like allot of the other kids wrote... Oh no... even the MANY times we have went to Disneyland or Sea World or the time we went rafting down the Sacramento river... or the time we built a snow man at mount Shasta... Or at the cabin in the snow for new years that lasted 3 days with all our family including her mommies... or the Shasta week on the house boat with all the family again including her great grandparents Anderson.... Oh NO...... She had to have a really grand story.... So she told of our trip to Paris, France... and how we all went YUK when we were served snails for dinner.... hahaha.... She is a good story writer and we were so proud to read what her huge imagination told... It sounded like she is definitely MY granddaughter... In fact it sounded like a story I would write myself.... It is so comforting when your grandchildren do something just like you... and you know they are a chip off the ole block... Cool....

Anyway, here are some pictures we took of Brenna's work at second grade this year.... Enjoy!

PS... She had blue stars all the way across for doing her homework everyday! "I wish all my students were like Brenna" is what her teacher told us... Duhhhhhhhh.... of course she wishes they could all be like Brenna....

MAY THE MONTH OF LEEPER GRANDKID BIRTHDAYS!

Here is Madelyn who's birthday is on May 4th... (The same date as grandma Leeper's birthday)... She is so beautiful and her dedication dress was made from the train of Tamra's wedding gown... Tamra is so sentimental a trait I can truly appreciate... Anyway it has been since this dedication picture that I have seen my little darling... But when she comes back to California which I am told will be SOON we will all celebrate her birthday BIG TIME... The Leeper way....

At the end of the month are all our other grandkids birthdays... May 24th is Maureen who just turned 15.... the next day is Caleb who just turned 4... the very next day on the 26th is Christopher Blake who just began the teen years at 13... ta... da.... and of course my little Brenna bringing up the end of May with the 29th as a great big 9 year old... Who knows when Shaylynn's birthday will be but no matter what month she comes somehow I know she won't be left out with all the celebrating in the month of May!!

We called our little Caleb on his birthday and told him to hurry and come to our house for his birthday presents and he said "OK, Grandmother I will.... Hurrrrrry"! This picture is with his cousin, Maureen, at Disneyland last month while he and Tamra were here... It was him the last time we saw him....

Randy and I went in to Glendora and spent the night on Thursday to celebrate the birthdays...
They had birthday hot fudge sundaes of course and Maureen's hot fudge got on her shirt... As you can see this 15 year old is not going to miss a bite... hahaha....

Licking that spoon of every bit of hot fudge is our teenager Blake... Mr funny man himself... Always knows how to make us laugh... Sitting here between his mommy and grandfather...

WHAT.... a hot fudge sundae... Daddy and grandmother were sure glad Brenna sat between us so she could share...

Ummmmmmmmmmm Good!!!

We spent the evening watching our wonderful family videos and fun times in Redding... Just like my dad always says... "We are so very rich!" "Happy Birthdays Grand One's!" Love, Grandmother and Grandfather

My new hair cut... SHORT...

So I decided to go short and with a different look... A layered bob A-line.... Ok... Truth... What do you think? As for me I like the back but the side and front I will have to do myself before I decide... You all know I would be truthful with you.... So sign your names to your comments...

Our Glen Ivy day of Peace and Tranquility

My wonderful little sister gave me a day pass to Glen Ivy for my birthday... My Chris and Shaye gave me a service at Glen Ivy for "Mother's Day".... Put the two together with Cheryl, Shaye and Christy it bakes into a great cake!! ... or should I say mud pie.... hehehe.... Tuesday the four of us met for a full day... Just us mom's and our daughters... It was great! Here we are baking the mud on to purify our skin... Ahhhhhh... the warm sun on that clay is so comforting... and even more comforting is getting it off... hahahaha...

In the sunning pool we got nice and golden brown... with a touch of RED!!

Then back into the sulphur water... Yes it smells but the results you can actually feel on your skin... Ahhhh... Nice!

In the steam sauna the fog was so great we couldn't even see each other... Which one of us is this? Look really good you might be surprised!

The newly modeled locker and dressing rooms are really lovely... The marble tops and black hair dryers and rain style showers simply make it another experience to end your day...

Ok... The girls were the first to be ready... But face it we have more room to cover... hahaha...

Once we were ready we took off for a wonderful dinner... Out door seating at our special secret Fish restaurant where we enjoyed our favorite... Broasted Artichokes...

From 9am-9pm it was a grand and glorious day.... The only thing missing was the presence or our other daughters... Ashley and Tamra... Until, next time girls!!

...And three make a club!

Dan and Maggie... Bob and Kim... Randy and Judeee... Yep we all ride the beautiful motorcycle called "Gold Wing"... and this Saturday we rode up to Idyllwild... what a beautiful trip... Lunch at JoAnn's... Stopped by the youth camp briefly...

Look at the view... This picture was taken from the back of the bike while riding down the mountain... It was breath taking!

The Yucca were in bloom... What a wonderful day and a great ride!

YOUTH CAMP IN IDYLLWILD

This week-end some of the youth in our church went to PFGC's youth camp... It was great from the testimonies of each of their own little mouths... We went for a ride on our motorcycles to visit and these are some pics.... We were there between all scheduled events and it was a cool down time... So many were in the cabins just chillin' from the night of antics before... Tehehe!!

HERE HE IS... Our fearless youth leader... Sleeping on the job... hehehe

And to the right we have Dave, his son flirting with the girls, of course... Oh wait nope that's his cousins... hahaha

Showing off his luxury cabin assignment Micah is so proud of his bunk and chuckles at his little brother (top picture) who slide off the top bunk...

Jordan enjoying one of those quiet moments... Our little prayer warrior and president of the Christian Club at school...

Take a look at Sheena... Our only girl among all the guys who went to youth camp... No problem for her... as usual she has already made friends and got things under control...

Wasn't able to get service pics or play pics or altar pics or even lunch pics but it was fun to see the kids at youth camp and excited to hear all the testimonies!

Mothers Day 2006

After our wonderful cruise and the celebrating of my mother when we returned home to our loving church mothers day on Sunday had a different dynamic... The church service was my whole heart felt celebration... Randy preached an awesome sermon which began with the statement "You are the gospel book that your child is going to read" and from there it truly was a blessed day... When auntie was in the hospital there was a lady in the bed next to her whose husband was a back slidden preacher... He had been hurt and didn't want to have anything to do with the church and so for over 10 years he hasn't darkened a church door... I had the opportunity to witness and minister to him... Steve my brother had come to visit aunt Lyn and he witnessed to him also... as well as aunt Lyn and of course Randy.... Well that was in March... Now, to bring you up to date... while we were gone on our cruise this couple came to our church... They had lost the card I gave them and were trying different churches to find the right one and get their lives straight... They attended an early morning service at a church and it wasn't the one and they drove down 7th st. and the lady shouted that's the church... Let's try this one.... so they did and they loved it... They came to the Saturday night couples night and then again this Sunday for mothers day... While they were at the couples night over at Andy and Lisa's house they saw my picture on the refrigerator and she shouted with joy to Lisa "Who is this lady" when Lisa told her I was her pastor's wife she was so excited for they had found the church they were looking for and the pastors.... So when I came to church Sunday morning all our little couples were giggling and smurking because they knew I had a surprise coming and it was so wonderful.... I have two wonderful sons and two wonderful daughters.... Six grandchildren, adopted kids all over the country and a great home... All of them called and loved me with their words from the heart.... But today mothers day was special with a hug from the Holy Ghost.... My life is in God's hands and it is all about souls to me.... Thank you Jesus for a blessed Mothers Day....

SURPRISE! Henry's 90 Years Old!

Wow... It's hard to believe that papa Henry is now 90 years old... He is such a go getter and doesn't know the word stop! He does it all! His daughter, Mercedes is just like him... She and Steve hosted this beautiful surprize birthday luau... She did such a good job she is now getting job offers to do these events... hehehe! From the moment we arrived till the last second we left this event was totally Hawaiian! The Lei greeting and the Polynesian dancers and music were awesome... But the Luau buffet was grand... We were all blown away at the beautiful traditions of the islands brought right here to Pacific Beach where Henry, Steve and Mercedes live.... Aunt Lyn, Chris, Shaye and Randy and I were among the many family and friends... PHSA showed up in full force... and we ALL are planning to attend the Pearl Harbor Survivor celebration in Hawaii this year... As you can see in these pictures Henry is very illuminated and has a huge smile on his face... I wonder is that because he was surprised by Stefanie and Scott and the great grands attending all the way from Texas... Or could it be Jen and her fam or maybe Krystal and Anza.... Nope, I think it was the Tahitian dancers that sat him in the middle and dance around him.... hahaha! His shade of red was lovely.... Go Henry Go!!

Just a Family Cruise to Mexico

Well... It's May again and time for the Mexico cruise with mama, papa auntie and the sibblings once again... This time we went on the Sapphire Princess from the Princess cruise line... It is the largest ship in the fleet... Randy and I had already been on back in September 2005 so we knew the fam would love it and they did! Since May 10th was our 37th wedding anniversary the ship and our fam went all out... Gifts from all and the special anniversary cake was thick and rich with CHOCOLATE.... Ummmmm good! We prefer the traditional dining each evening and so after a wonderful day of playing or doing whatever we would meet as a fam at the dinner table and share our day... It was soooooo wonderful.... Mom and dad teared up a few times as this is their most favorite time.... We all had our time at the Lotus Spa with massages for all.... In fact I had two... Randy only had one... Steve and Deb spent most of their day at the pool and Robert was all over the ship with new found friends from Canada.... Dad and Randy spent alot of time in their rooms or on the deck reading... reading and more reading... Cheryl and auntie went to game shows and classes... they can both arrange flowers and fold napkins like a professional... but I don't think they quite got the hang of the ice sculpting... One of my favorite things was the puzzle in the library by the beautiful atruim... A huge puzzle that anyone could come by and work a bit on it.... Very relaxing.... and then most of the time I love the aromatherapy special spa area with the hot rocks and steam rooms.... and yes a rain forest shower... aaaaaaa nice...

Wave runners were a blast in Cabo San Lucas.... We had a ball.... Randy, Steve and I.... Cheryl didn't go this year... This picture is from Aunt Lyn on the ship who was also videoing.... Cheryl and I won a dance contest and Randy was chosen by the cruise director to impersonate Elvis... We all have our silver medals!! We all have our memories and lots of pictures and video clips.... So if you like this report and want more come on over we have so much more to share....
